Slips On Trade Deficit Data
1511 GMT [Dow Jones] - Gold futures have dipped into negative territory on
narrower-than-expected trade deficit figures and pre-weekend book squaring,
says George Gero, vice president with RBC Capital Markets Global futures.
The U.S.
trade deficit narrowed more than expected in March as imports of cars and
crude oil dropped amid record-high oil prices and a weak economy. Comex
June gold is down $6.80 at $875.30 an ounce. (MWH)
